Arnav completed the IB from the Mahindra United World College in Pune, and received his Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Political Economy from Carleton College in the United States. After graduating, he returned to India to become involved in the social sector.
A former Teach for India Fellow, Arnav taught English, Math and Science to 2nd and 3rd standard students for two years. He continued his work in the education sector as a Program Associate at Pratham and ASER where he worked closely with project donors to design and support multiple education projects. He now brings both his teaching expertise and field knowledge to Aparna Bhasin Consulting where he works in training, data analysis, and curriculum development.
Arnav is passionate about working with students and has a special interest in developing interactive pedagogical methods with teachers to enhance lesson delivery in the classroom.
Yara Terrazas-Carafa
Yara is pursuing a Human Ecology Masters at Lund University in Sweden. Her current academic interests revolve around understanding how culture, power and sustainability influence different approaches to development and environmental issues.
She has worked with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Bolivia for four years on topics of culture, education, sustainability and international development, in coordination with different bodiesand agencies of the United Nations as well as with regional and hemispheric organizations for the Americas.
Most recently, she lead the United World College Istanbul Short Course focused on fostering cross-cultural understanding for youth from Europe and the Middle East – specifically designing and implementing the conflict resolution and power dynamics modules for the same.
